Do these biscotti have eggs in them???
Turning vegetarian isn’t probably such a difficult task for someone who explores non-vegetarian cuisines, once in a blue moon. But what happens to someone who is a hard-core non-vegetarian??? Who despises the very thought of greens??? Who could never imagine having a single meal without a leg or a bone???
Well, quite a nightmare, isn’t it??? I can vividly re-collect the days when I would frown & get the entire roof down on seeing plants & seeds served for food on my plate! I would refuse to eat; until my poor mom made me an egg omelet or scrambled eggs, the only alternative to get her stubborn daughter to eat. Must admit, it was quite a task & torture for her!
Ever wondered what would be the predicament of a hardcore non-vegetarian who decides to turn vegetarian one fine day? Well, it would be close to imagining, giving up something you just cannot do without??? Perhaps an old habit, mannerism or just one of the many vices you harbor???
But I am truly glad, I could and I DID…!!!
Would love to admit that I feel nothing less than a warrior returning home after a triumphant victory!!! A feeling close to eternal bliss, for achieving the unachievable! A feeling which displays total control over your insatiable desires! Amen..! Amen..!! Amen..!!!
So much so that someone who couldn’t resist meaty encounters, now goes about checking the list of ingredients on food labels as she fears picking up cakes, pastries or even biscotti’s for that matter, which contains eggs in them!!!
WOW! My sudden transition from a hardcore non-vegetarian to a pure vegetarian leaves me completely astonished, but I am equally convinced that a disciplined lifestyle comes primarily with tremendous self-control!
Would seriously recommend, everybody tries giving up something (one thinks one could not do without) sometime or other in life to discover the real ‘You’ within ‘You’!
It is definitely worth a try!!!
