I found a place in your womb;

And I am, what I am; only because of ‘You’…

‘Coz without ‘You’, there would have been no ‘Me’…!

I grew on your nectar rich terra firma;

Since the time I was embedded in ‘You’…!

I will always remain allied to you;

And the distance between the two of us;

Will remain short, as an umbilical cord…!

You sung for me; the sweetest lullabies,

While your loving hands rocked my cradle;

Bed-time stories to ‘Mills & Boons’,

You saw me grow; year after year…!

My first crush; my very first boy-friend,

All my broken love-stories,

And affairs of the heart…!

You know it all, Mom;

Completely ‘Uncensored’…!

You see me in ‘You’, I know why;

As I am truly your own reflection…!

Mom, who knows me better than ‘You’?

‘Coz I am your own sweet creation...!

Love in its purest forms; I have witnessed,

Only in your beautiful eyes…!

So today I take pride in asking you ‘Mom’
