Foot or Brain?

Grey matter or tanned reality?

Uprooted or grounded?

Without the foot in place, wonder where the head would land???

Strained tissue or a stress-filled nerve?

A reeling head or a fractured foot?

Wonder if it is easier to carry the acumen of cells than the weight of one's body mass???

But isn't it the little demon sitting up there;

Whose instructions are submissively followed by the inmates of the so called biological system???

So what would you prefer on your platter today?

A pea-sized brain or an elephant's foot???

Indeed, it's a tussle over a muscle,

Or perhaps a scuffle over a muffle

Whatever it is, you can knock them both down,

With just a couple of intoxicating guzzles!!!

In Love.with 'LOVE'

If I were to reveal my teeny-weeny secret to you today;

I hope not, you will label me 'Insane'

But I just can't hush it under the carpet,

Or hide it inside of a closet any longer.

'Coz, I am so in love with the 4 letter terminology 'LOVE'!

At the break of dawn, after a little jog & shower;

When I am all set to have my break-fast

I see these 4 letters swimming in my bowl of milk & cereals...

Yelling out to me, 'Have a Great Day Ahead'

Can't you sense, I am so in love with the 4 letter expression 'LOVE'?

If you thought, life for me is a grind.

With soaring mercury levels, mounting work-pressures,

stringent deadlines & endless board meetings;

I would say 'Hell Not'

For my 4 letter crony, keeps me company everywhere I go;

From bill-boards to computer screens, conference halls to cafeterias

Winking at me & saying 'Keep it going, Girl'

Can you now fancy the idea that I am so in love with 'LOVE'?

After a frenzied day's work, back home.

I so enjoy munching on a chocolate bar;

Whilst watching the idiot-box before hitting the sack

And there.they are????????

The 4 letters reaching out to kiss me 'Good Night & Sweet Dreams'

Now, don't you understand how much I am in love with 'LOVE'?

Towards A New Beginning..

Dear iLanders,

As the age old proverb goes, 'There is always a ray of light at the end of every tunnel'! Glad, to get to the end of the tunnel in a short span of time!

Hmmm.a month to be precise!!! Seems like, ages though.!!!!!

I was oblivious to the fact that there are so many iLanders who look forward to reading my poetries, until I quit. The never-ending chain of mails, GB entries & comments that followed after my last post has left me astounded for words! I truly consider myself blessed, if I have even remotely been able to touch the hearts of so many readers through my poems!!!

Trust me when I say, 'One realizes the value of what one has only after losing it!' When I first started blogging on Rediff iLand, 2 months ago, I had absolutely no inkling that something which started off as a leisure pursuit would end up as a big time "Passion"! Gosh! This iLand is infectiously addictive for sure! And I gave in to this addiction without a second thought! There is absolutely no denial that I missed reading my fellow bloggers as much as I missed expressing my own thoughts & views. To cut a long story short, I truly missed all you wonderful people out there!!!!

But before I kick-start my engine from the state of inertia, I would like to express my heart-felt thanks to Monalisa Smile, Frozy, Sameera Nandi, Moe M, Raj Mishra, Usha Dhana, Raja, Raghu Iyer, Sunshine, Hardhitter, Steven Chacko, Arindam, AdityaDas Menon, Manav Shetty, Premraj Vaneri, Diwakar Sharma, Ashok Pal, Kash, Khums, Krishna Prasad, Ocimum Sanc, Tammana & Aria (Rightly said girl! It is not worth letting someone else's "shit" come in way of our pleasures!!!) who have largely contributed to my return & have in some way or the other become an integral part of my support system today!!! Am I missing out anybody's name??? I sincerely, hope not!!! (Guess, even Sushmita Sen wouldn't have had to thank so many when she won the 'Miss Universe' pageant.lol!!!!)

Last but not the least, 'HAPPY ONAM' to all my fellow bloggers hailing from 'God's Own Country'!
